Contrary to popular belief, 42 is not the only secret to the Universe.
54, for example, is triple chai. (chai as in L'chai'im, not the drink).
Chai is the Hebrew word that means Life, as in L'chai'im, “To life!”
The two letters that spell chai are chet and yud. If you transpose
them and write 'yud, chet', you have the number 18, the power number; and why charity is given in multiples of 18. (tnx, Eva!)
54 is Triple Chai Power! Life Life LIFE!

| AL's Birthday: October 14...and perfect weather for the festivities. |

Exerpt from Captain's Log 10.14.06 PDT
The day began, innocently enough, with a chance encounter of the Rintoul tribe, while on our morning romp in BC..Contact was pleasant, and we were quite charmed by Baby Daniel's bemused gaze towards us.
Sun and I then charted a course touring the OPEN STUDIOS of Boulder Creek and Capitola. Baskets by Sandy Wilkes-Rintoul, Animal Tarot by August at Avalon Visions in Capitola, and Beautiful Edible Sculptures from the elegant Thai artist, Petcharee.
At sunset, we went for organic delights at the new downtown Santa Cruz restaurant, La VIE. That's the owner, Yeaya, from Bali. We booked the private room in the back for our cozy and scrumptious dinner party, including Michael, Jia, Nada, and John Z.
Then we made a speedy getaway to the big party at Nada and Matt's house, where we played all night long. Lots of happy birthday songs. Homemade and unbelievably tasty TiraMisu from Yeva Traub. And an assortment of gadgets, gear, and magic gifts.
The backyard area was particularly fun - a cozy fire, a hot spa, couches for the musicians, a table for food, and a screen for movies. What else do we really need?
Great Birthday! Thanks to all you wonderful friends for making it so special. We're cherishing the memories forever. |
